Queniborough Dance Company (Q.D.C.) was established 15 years ago and started with approximately 26 pupils. The classes were run from a number of local rooms/halls in and around the Queniborough area. As time passed the school has progressed, and we now have over 200 pupils taking part in the different classes, these include traditional dance such as ballet, tap and modern but also include new classes such as Street Dance, cheerleading, disco , adult fitness , adult step, and professional training for students who wish to dance to a further level.
All classes now run from one building 109 Broad Street, Syston, LE7 1GJ.
The whole aim of Q.D.C is for the children to have fun as they learn dancing skills, and this is mirrored by the easy going approach of the teachers. Janet Tarry is the Principal, with her two main assistants Stacey Pope and Sarah Lowen.
The dance pupils have the opportunity to enter exams and the annual show but this is not compulsory. While the cheerleaders can enter competitions across the country
