Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School is a school for boys and girls between the ages of three and eleven. During their time here your child will develop the skills and attitudes that will go towards determining what type of person they will be.
We believe that the children learn best in an atmosphere that embodies respect, challenge and a joy of learning. Emphasis is placed on raising the self-esteem of each child and developing a sense of responsibility for themselves and those around them.
We at Sacred Heart venture to create a community that has the teachings of Jesus Christ at its heart, expressed through the sacramental tradition of the Catholic Church. This ethos permeates all areas of school life.
Catholic schools offer a different way of searching for meaning in life. We attempt to be open to all possibilities for all members of our community.
Coming to Sacred Heart school will change your life. The following is taken from a list of rules for being truly human by Daniel O’Leary:
You will learn lessons everyday.
These lessons may be in Maths, English or another subject on the curriculum, or the lesson could be in the playground, talking to a teacher on the corridor, in assembly or on the way to school. You may like the lessons or you may not like them.
