Emma Thompson A.I.S.T.D. DDE
Emma's dancing career started at 3 years of age at a local dancing school in Leicester where she performed in many dance shows, pantomimes and competitions.
She joined Pirouette Academy of Dance in 1991 to train as an I.S.T.D. teacher in Ballet, Tap, Modern and National. Her training was cut short due to a spine injury but she returned in 2002 and studied for her DDI and DDE qualifications and is now a member of the teaching staff. Emma teaches all ages from 18 months to the over 70’s!
Emma also teaches Melody Movement and Little Bear Feet at Pirouette in Wigston, and Montessori Nursery, on London Road holding classes for children aged up to 4 years.
Emma’s choreography was recently seen in the Leicester Operatic players’ production of Me and My Girl which enjoyed a sell out run at The Little Theatre in Leicester.
In January 2011 Emma became a licensed Zumba Instructor, and a part of the Zumba Instructor Network. In August 2011, Emma added to her Zumba qualifications becoming one of only a handful of Zumbatomic instructors in Leicester.
